I have had many homeloans over my time, and to be honest, Me Bank was my first 'non-traditional' bank (not one of the big 4 or associates)... but from signing up day one I had concerns. Communication is poor with this bank. Staff don't tell you 'everything' and for instance, fee and charges are hidden until sign-on has occurred. When I had questions, I would be referred to other departments, people etc who wouldn't return my calls. Eventually, you just gave up... The disappointing this is their "Members Package".... its $395 a year to have an interest rate comparative to other banks.... or if you don't take this offer, its 2% higher (YES... 2%.... mine was 6.09%, I refused to pay the ridiculous Members fee, and they pushed my homeloan interest rate up to 8.53%... So with that... Im out. DO NOT USE THIS BANK... they are dodgy, misleading, and only in it for the profits (like many others)...

The online platform can sometimes be a little tricky to access with extra security measures, but this does make you feel like your money is secure. The yearly service fees are quite high.

Filled out the online application and their website kept freezing. This was the smallest loan amount I've ever applied for as I was going to refinance and there was so many hoops to jump through. Answer one question which lead to another question to another and so on. In the end I went with another bank. Total waste of time, don't bother with IMB.

The reason for rejection is not enough income. I agree! No issue for the reason. However, I called CFCU Bank last year. A loan specialist ask me my income & other questions related to liability. In just 10 minutes she told me that I don't have borrowing capacity for refinance amount. So I wonder why a home loan specialist, a highly qualified person in finance from IMB Bank needs a dozen documents to submit to tell customers that he/she is not eligible for refinance due to income is not sufficient. The person wasted his time & perhaps banks salary which he got paid to assess my application. Which he could have done in just 10 minutes. Probably more training & practical approach is required to assess application quickly.

They only “accept” certain payment types eg direct debit, salary credits, “direct entry” or NPP. They do NOT accept payments from savings accounts or from a bank branch assisted payment. Worse, this is buried deep in their T&C’s. So if you come into extra money and want it to sit in your home loan as a redraw amount to save on interest, its a pain in the backside. And Unloan do NOT help nor care either. AND you still need to do your usual payments too! AND surprise, surprise, you can’t actually talk to someone - it’s either online chat or a callback that never happens when you need it. We took our business elsewhere. Would rather pay the extra interest rate and have actual service when needed. Not worth wasting my time trying to make extra payments that they just reject.
