As someone who recently obtained my license and brought my first car the clear next step was to get some insurance...after a quick google search which outlined my options, a quick check gave me a rough idea of price of those but Budget Direct were not only one of the top rated at the time of my researching but one of the best value, they were the only ones who made me feel at ease dealing with them from that first phone call about an enquiry and quote after that I went ahead and purchased my car insurance from them, they explained everything to me, made sure that I understood and was conformable throughout, laid out my options and sent through information and copy's straight to my email, that they had me check I had received before ending the call. It was quick and easy even for a first timer and they made me feel safe buying from them, since then, I have received regular updates and no hidden changes or chargers to my policy. There website is also very easy to navigate and use. I guess as with all insurance companies it will always be expensive to have everything you want and there is always going to be a lot of information to read, comb through and compare and this one is no different but if your after car insurance is simple, straight forward, easy to use online and great customer service even for those really easy questions you can want to make sure of so far I couldn't recommend Budget Direct enough.

More RAA car insurance customer reviewsWhen I first started looking for car insurance, I was overwhelmed by the options. I needed a company that felt reliable and accessible, especially since I was a new driver. Alliance stood out to me because of its reputation for excellent customer service and straightforward policies. Friends had recommended it, sharing stories of quick responses and helpful representatives. This personal touch made me feel more confident in my choice. Pros Diverse Coverage Options: Alliance offers a variety of coverage plans. I found it comforting to know I could choose from basic liability to more comprehensive options that suited my lifestyle. Affordable Rates: One of the biggest draws for me was the affordability. I was on a tight budget, and Alliance's competitive rates allowed me to get the coverage I needed without breaking the bank. User-Friendly Online Management: Managing my policy online has been a breeze. I can easily access documents, update my information, and file claims with just a few clicks. This convenience has saved me time and stress. Responsive Customer Service: Whenever I had questions or needed assistance, the customer service team was quick to respond. They made me feel valued as a customer, which is something I genuinely appreciate. Cons Claims Processing Delays: While my overall experience has been positive, I did hear from a few friends about delays in the claims process. They expressed frustration when they needed timely support after an accident. Policy Exclusions: Some customers mentioned that certain exclusions in the policies weren’t clearly communicated. It’s crucial to read the fine print to avoid surprises later on. Mixed Customer Feedback: Although many have had great experiences, there are also reports of dissatisfaction. It's a reminder that experiences can vary widely, and it's essential to do thorough research. Limited Discounts: Compared to some competitors, Alliance might not offer as many discount opportunities. This could affect savings for those who are looking to maximize their budget. Conclusion Overall, my journey with Alliance car insurance has been mostly positive. Their commitment to customer service and affordable rates make them a strong contender in the insurance market. However, potential customers should be aware of the mixed feedback regarding claims and exclusions. Taking the time to understand the policy details can help ensure a smoother experience.
More Allianz car insurance customer reviewsWe live in a fast paced society and it's really assuring being with RAA for solid, quality car policy. I recently had an RAA assessor come put and explain to me about my car issue. It was right there and then I felt confident in his findings, their professionalism and ability to explain 'car-talk' to me. The car insurance policy is lengthy so it pays to really read through. Overall a car insurance company that values circumstances than loose change.
More RAA car insurance customer reviewsMy father has 4 policies with RACV, including home and contents and coverage for his and my mother's cars. He is a very long time and loyal customer despite never having a claim. Our house got broken into, the thieves stoll his car keys and took off with his car. A claim was made as well as the police being involved and the car was found a few days later. RACV never contacted my father once during the process to let him know about any of the proceedings, claim status, or what he was entitled to during the whole claim process. Instead my father had to ring and be left in a queue to get any information from them. His cover included a courtesy car which RACV never told him about, which he only learnt about by accident after the 3rd call after being placed in a 15 minute queue (this is a week into the claim). They finally assessed that the car was a write off and a long story short, after many stressful calls and much time from my father, leaving him in a panic (he's 70 years old). They offered him 1/3rd of the value of what he expected to receive as "market value" for his vehicle. After paying 32,000 for he's 2010 C class Mercedes which he bought 2nd hand a few years back, their accessor was pulling up all these old car sales add's where the vehicle's were delisted for pathetic prices and are the adds for which are not available to the general public. He was emailing my father and calling him to argue that his fully functional 2010 ( Excellent condition) C class turbo-diesel, Mercedes Benz was worth no more than $8800. My father just spent $7000 dollars to get the computer and electrics serviced and tuned before it was stolen btw. This has caused absolute joke of an experience has caused my Father and mother considerable stress and has affected their mental and physical well being. My father payed $116 as premium for this policy and will owe a 700 excess and RACV have just trampled all over him and left us all stunned how terrible this joke of a policy is and their customer service is an absolute joke. How they can compete with the likes of AAMI (who provided a quote with a market value of $13,500 for my father's exact car just now)and or any other insurance provider with this rubbish is beyond me entirely. I strongly recommend anyone interested to avoid RACV at all costs! They are expensive and when it comes to claims, they are cheap skates and will stop at nothing to save money in every department of their business. Do yourself a favour and have nothing to do with them!
More RACV car insurance customer reviewsUseless to deal with. Repairers provided terrible workmanship after an no fault claim in 2023, and I had to return my car 4 times over 3 months to get the repairs done to a reasonable standard with issue after issue. Now a year later having more issues with the repairs and I lodged a complaint in early November 2024 and still not resolved. Numerous phone calls, emails and complaints and still getting nowhere in February

More Budget Direct car insurance customer reviewsWe switched to RACV because it was cheaper than the insurer we were with, despite a lot of negative reviews surrounding the time it takes to get a claim paid out. Haven't yet had to make a claim and hopefully won't have to find out if that reputation is true.

More RACV car insurance customer reviewsI have made a few claims with Youi and have been more than satisfied with their customer service and the claims process. They have been so helpful, prompt in sorting out issues and flexible with who I use for repairs as I am in a rural location. Youi is a little more expensive for my vehicle but I think it is worth the money. I highly recommend them to all my friends.

More Allianz car insurance customer reviewsDo not be misled by the 5-star reviews. These reviews clearly haven’t been written by anyone who has actually had to make a claim. My experience with Stella Car Insurance has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly advise against choosing them. My crash claim has taken over a month to process due to an incredibly slow and disorganized process. They don't respond to emails, so I’m forced to keep calling them for updates, and even then, it takes a week for them to get back to me. They claim to offer 24/7 assistance, but that is a lie. After 5 PM, no one answers the phone, and it’s clear they are severely understaffed. There’s also a huge communication breakdown between their outsourced teams. One staff member arranged for a car hire and allowed us to pick up the car, but then another called and said the crash team wanted the hire car returned and a different one delivered. This constant back-and-forth was extremely confusing and unprofessional. To make things worse, the tow company lost some of our personal items from the car, and instead of helping us resolve the situation, Stella asked us to provide photos to prove that we had the items inside the car. It was a completely unreasonable request and made an already stressful situation even worse. Stella might seem like a cheap option, but it is far more stressful than it’s worth. Don't wait for an issue to arise—go with a more reliable insurance provider. The reviews that rave about them clearly haven’t experienced the reality of dealing with a claim.
