User-Friendly Technology: The CommBank app is highly rated for its intuitive interface and innovative features like spend tracking, bill-splitting, and saving goals, which are particularly helpful for budgeting. Customer Service: Their customer service is generally reliable and available across multiple channels like in-branch, phone, and online chat. Diverse Range of Products: CommBank offers a wide range of banking and financial products, including home loans, credit cards, personal loans, and investment options, catering to various financial needs. Accessibility for First-Home Buyers: They provide tailored advice and tools, such as a mortgage calculator and property reports, which can be helpful for first-time buyers like me and my wife. Cons: Higher Fees: Commonwealth Bank's fees for some accounts, services, and loans can be higher than competitors, particularly for everyday banking and personal loans. Interest Rates: The interest rates for savings accounts and loans are sometimes less competitive compared to smaller banks or credit unions. Delays in Approvals: Loan approvals and other processes, especially for non-residents or people on temporary visas, can take longer than expected. Overall Impression: Commonwealth Bank is a great choice if you're looking for convenience, advanced technology, and a broad range of services. However, it's worth comparing fees and rates if you're budget-conscious or seeking the best deal on savings or loans.

More Great Southern Bank bank account customer reviewsI absolutely love Westpac! I moved to Australia 3 years ago and had to open a bank account, tried several banks and finally when all others failed I went to Westpac. GOT THE MOST AMAZING SERVICE and the standard of service is still continuing. Of all the banks I feel like Westpac has the lowest international fees and is always very accommodating. I will FOREVER stay a loyal customer!
More Westpac bank account customer reviewsHave only had them for about a year and haven't had one problem at all I am not good at all writing big stories

More Bank of Queensland bank account customer reviewsI have had the account for 20 years and have only had to contact them when I've lost my card or I need something, not because they have messed up. Fantastic service and quick and easy transactions.
More NAB bank account customer reviewsHave banked with Westpac for 20 years. Recommend bank with diverse range of products.
More Westpac bank account customer reviewsHSBC are great for those with international banking needs, as you can easily transfer between accounts across countries. However, they have very limited branches & ATMs so banking a cheque, or needing in person assistance can be more difficult. They also don't do PayID which can be frustrating.
More HSBC bank account customer reviewsFees are $5 monthly account. Zero interest rates. No tellers or immediate access to in bank queries. Must always book an appointment. Never get an appointment on the same day.
More ANZ bank account customer reviewsOnline, no fees, super similar to navigate with phone banking. I've never had an issue and trust them.
More ING bank account customer reviewsI have been with the Commonwealth Bank for sometime and have been satisfied with their services up until the last 18 months. Their bank branches are closing locally and the remaining one has limited opening hours which makes it difficult to resolve issues when you work and study full time. They have also removed most of their ATMs locally which puts additional cost pressures if you need to withdraw cash and are charged by non Commonwealth bank organisations.
More Commonwealth Bank bank account customer reviewsI have banked with St George Bank Since it first started. Originally I opened my first bank account at 15, with Advanced Bank, when i started my first job. In my 20s they changed to St George Bank. St George Bank has looked after myself and my money for aprx 45years and I have never been let down or overcharged. I couldnt think of a reason to ever change.
More St.George bank account customer reviewsClosed down all of the local branches meaning we are unable to visit in person for any transactions. Only select atm accept deposits, even though they say we can use the Commonwealth Banks ATMs for free, I'm yet to do this successfully. The rewards scheme attached to our credit card was changed last year, meaning our annual bonus rewards was removed. We are charged $395 a year to have our home loan with them, yet they are unable to tell us how this is benefitting us.
